What Are The Requirements To Do An Open Road Session?
Before starting your open road sessions, ensure you meet these essential requirements to maximize your learning experience and safety.
Essential Requirements
Valid Learner's Permit
You must hold a current Victorian learner's permit and have completed the required knowledge test. Interstate permits are also accepted.
Basic Driving Skills
Ability to control the vehicle safely including smooth acceleration, braking, steering, and basic parking maneuvers on quiet roads.
Minimum Practice Hours
We recommend at least 10-15 hours of supervized driving practice before beginning open road sessions for optimal safety and learning.
Pre-Session Assessment
All students undergo a brief assessment during their first lesson to ensure they’re ready for open road training. This includes:
