Booking & Lesson Guidelines
- Driving lessons are subject to the availability of instructors. At Monika’s Driving School, we strive to schedule lessons at times that are convenient for you.
- To ensure smooth communication, students must be reachable before their lesson, as the instructor will contact them via call or text upon arrival.
- All clients must bring their relevant driving documents, such as licenses, permits, and logbooks, to each lesson.
- Failure to do so may result in the lesson being postponed and possibly incur a fee. It is the client’s responsibility to bring any required items, such as corrective eyewear, for driving.
Cancellations
- Students are required to provide 48 hours’ notice if they need to cancel a lesson. If a lesson or drive test (booked with our instructor) is cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled time, the full lesson or drive test fee will apply.
- For cancellations or changes to lessons, Monika’s Driving School requires 24 hours’ notice unless otherwize specified.
- For drive tests, we require a minimum of 3 days’ notice for cancellations. Failure to cancel within the given time frame may result in a charge of 100% of the lesson or drive test cost.
- If a client has cancelled more than twice without proper notice, Monika’s Driving School reserves the right to request advance payment for any future lessons.
Payments & Refunds
- Clients are responsible for paying the full lesson fee, or for a booked drive test, applicable charges. All lesson packages must be completed within 6 months from the start date, unless impacted by COVID lockdowns.
- If a refund for a lesson package is requested, any applicable package discount will be forfeited, and the refund will be processed based on individual lesson rates.
- Payments for lessons are due at the time of each session, unless a prepaid package is in place. Payment options include cash, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), or credit/debit cards. EFT payments should be made before the lesson, and a receipt number must be provided. A 2.2% surcharge applies for credit/debit card payments.
- All packages must be paid in full at the first lesson. Clients who book a drive test without prior lessons must pay for the drive test at least 5 days before the scheduled test. If the payment is not received within this period, the booking will be cancelled by the instructor.
- For drive test bookings within 5 days, payment must be made within 2 hours of booking, or the booking will be cancelled. Instructors may request partial advance payments for packages to secure lesson bookings.
- Failure to comply will result in booking cancellation. Refunds are processed via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the client’s bank account, with clients providing the necessary details.
- If a prepaid package has been used, the refund will be minus a $25 administration fee and the cost of any lessons already completed. Monika’s Driving School is flexible in offering payment options and may enter into payment plans with clients at its discretion.
Drive Test Requirements
On the day of the drive test, it is the client’s responsibility to have all necessary documentation as required by VicRoads. For details, please refer to the VicRoads website: www.vicroads.vic.gov.au.
Specials and Promotions
Monika’s Driving School reserves the right to run special offers and promotions, which may vary from the standard terms and conditions. In the absence of specific terms for a promotion, the standard terms and conditions will apply.
Pricing & Package Terms
While Monika’s Driving School strives to notify clients in advance of price changes, we reserve the right to adjust prices as necessary. Lesson packages are valid for 3 months unless otherwize stated. Packages are non-transferable between clients and/or instructors.
Social Media & Advertising
Your instructor may request permission to take photos or videos of you upon the successful completion of your drive test for promotional purposes, including use on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, as well as on Monika’s website.
By agreeing to these terms, you grant Monika’s Driving School permission to use any images or media taken during your lessons or drive tests for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes. These may be edited or altered for use across various platforms.
Monika’s Driving School retains the rights to any images and sound recordings for perpetuity, unless otherwize agreed in writing. Clients waive any right to compensation for the use of their media.
Intensive Drive Test Preparation Lessons & Packages
These packages must be completed within 6 weeks. All lessons and drive tests must be conducted at the respective VicRoads location or within 2 kilometres of it. Packages are non-transferable between individuals and/or instructors.
